WHAT IS CREATIVE WRITING?
The word creative can be defined as: the ability or power to create productive, and imaginative work, characterized by originality and expressive imagery.
Creative writing: a form of artistic expression, draws on the imagination to convey meaning through the use of imagery, narrative, and drama. This is in contrast to analytic or pragmatic forms of writing. This genre includes poetry, fiction (novels, short stories), scripts, screenplays, and creative non-fiction such as feature articles for magazines.
We encourage our students to explore their creativity and we help them to become skilled wordsmiths.
